I am an English/Turkish speaking psychologist based in Maastricht. I am a registered psychologist in The Netherlands and a member of the Nederlands Institute of Psychologists (NIP), working with individuals with psychological complaints and difficult personal circumstances.

Within my work I utilize a holistic approach to treatment, taking into account each individual's life circumstances and goals for treatment.

Overall, I bring an empathic, colloborative, non-judgemental approach to my work and I am highly committed to helping my clients overcome challenges and begin to heal from psychological distress.

My Background

I graduated from Australia with a bachelor in Psychology and Anthropology, before undertaking a master program in Neuropsychology at University of Maastricht.

For 5 years, i have worked at an international clinic in Limburg where I provided adults from international community (expats, military personnel) with psychological support for a wide range of clinical disorders (depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction), as well as insight-oriented therapy for personality disorders. Currently, I am working at Maastricht University as a student psychologist, offering guidance to students.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR VISIT AND MY SERVICES

We start with a 30 min introduction session where we get to know each other and discuss your request for help. Therapy starts with an intake session where we colloboratively explore and discuss the problem(s) or life circumstances you wish to focus on. Based on the information, we will then formulate a treatment plan, outlining specific treatment strategies in order to support you in achieving your goals.

We will work on the agreed treatment goals in subsequent sessions, using a range of psychological interventions in order to promote a reduction in symptoms and / or improved insight into underlying complaints. Moreover, we will regularly evaluate treatment to ensure treatment progress.

MY SERVICES

FACE TO FACE

Face to face private counselling sessions with a registered Psychologist

All face to face sessions take place at a centrally located office in Maastricht. The office is easily accessible by cycling, car or public transport.

ONLINE THERAPY

All online therapy sessions take place via a secure video conferencing application.

You will receive a link prior to the session to log in to the online therapy space. The application mobile friendly, and therefore permits flexibility in terms of access to therapy.
It is also possible to make use of a blended approach, where we combine face-to-face and online therapy.

General Information

Please contact your insurance provider to enquire about coverage for my services. In some cases, a referral letter from your GP or doctor is necessary, as well as a treatment plan which i provide for every client.

All new clients will be asked to provide some basic background information and sign an informed consent from prior to the start of therapy. All forms will be sent out to you in advance.

You may cancel your appointment, but please inform me 24 hours prior to the session so that we can make alternative arrangements. A standard fee is charged for missed or cancelled appointment without a 24 hour notice.
